Growing

Beyond Pineapple

A TPQC × TPM seedling selected by Cactilicious, who grew it on for years before releasing it to be sure the growth would hold.

Read the reference entry → — what the name Beyond Pineapple means, where it came from, and what other growers record about it.

Nothing off this one is listed at the moment. It's growing in the yard and gets cut when it's ready.

Anything marked “not recorded yet” is a fact I have not written down. I would rather leave the gap than guess at it.

The story

Plenty of odd seedlings settle back into a plain column once they mature; this one has not, even on its own roots. Deeply notched ribs and bumpy, sculptural growth — the pineapple comparison makes sense the moment you see one.

Photographs

My own pictures of this plant, taken in the yard. The drawn frames are my illustrations, standing in until I have photographed the rest.
