Growth habit
Reverted TPM growth can turn monstrose again, because monstrose plants often switch between ordinary and irregular growth over their lives. A non-displaying monstrose looks like a plain plant while still carrying the genes.
Held up in a work glove, a slim blue-green cutting with bright yellow spines at the top areoles that shorten to tan buttons further down, cut clean across the bottom, over a bark bed with small cuttings stuck in it.
