Bruce's Dragon is a plant, believed to be a , that was rescued rather than bred: Mark Buckley and a helper spotted a huge stand while working on a property, and the owner, who did not like it, let them cut it down and haul it away. It began selling more widely around 2022. Its parentage is a guess, and the accounts of how it was found do not all agree.

The longer version

Species: believed to be a bridgesii hybrid in a monstrose form.

The is also reportedly unusually tolerant of humid air for a monstrose, where a pure bridgesii would struggle.

Character

Growth habit
Melty, dragon-like growth that looks sculpted rather than grown. It is described as a monstrose form rather than a normal ribbed column.
A thick green cutting held close to the camera, lumpy folded tip first, with only a few long tan spines low on the body, over dry lawn and a brick path, and the corner of the measuring board with more cuttings on it in the bottom right.
