Lupita is reportedly a heavy, densely spined Peruvian whose still stands in Huaraz — photographed in 2013 outside the supermarket that gave it the name.

Reportedly, stems get thick, measured at 13 cm across. Reportedly, sit close together and carry many short needle-like spines, black while young. It is reportedly exceptionally tough and does best when given room to reach full width.
