Skin
and spines: reportedly both land between the blue-green, heavily ribbed Matucana look and the , long-spined macrogonus look.
Growth habit
Reportedly robust and thick-stemmed. These are reportedly heavy, thick-stemmed plants that run larger than average. Some of the softer have reportedly spotted when kept humid without much airflow.
Notes
Grafting is reported as especially effective for small or damaged cuttings of it, and soft cuttings spot easily in humid, badly ventilated conditions.
