The longer version

An American nursery that sells it as an open-pollinated says it comes from the Chavin line of seeds, and offers taken from a grafted plant.

Where the name comes from

Reportedly grown from Chavin Herbalists seed out of Peru, one batch dated to about 2018; the clone is distinguished from open-pollinated seedlings offered under the same name.
