TBMB is the short form and TBMA the long form of the monstrose bridgesii, and a California nursery lists them as A and Clone B, after the lettering of Sacred Succulents.

- Skin
- Reportedly smooth and spineless down most of the column.
- Spines
- Reportedly usually none, with an occasional ordinary spine and, rarely, a yellow one.
- Growth habit
- Reportedly tall and comparatively straight, and it does not stack its the way the short form does. Long, smooth and goofy-looking. In this yard it shows the classic long-form look, and once rooted it develops the classic knobby monstrose growth.
- Notes
- Reportedly, Clone A, the long form, makes long pups that carry over their first few inches before the surface turns smooth or lightly melted up to a closed tip. Reportedly, Clone B, the short form, makes shorter, thicker pups that can build into a bush-like shape on a large plant.
