• Enlarge A single TBMA cutting on the whitewashed measuring board, inside its wood frame of fake sunflowers and red toadstool pegs, with a tape measure down the right edge; the stem turns twice in a long S and its ribs fold into soft lumps under hard midday sun.
• Enlarge A freshly cut end held up overhead against flat blue sky, the wet face turned to the camera with a pale core inside a ring of blunt rib ends, and two long straw spines running out to the right.
• Enlarge A TBMA clump planted in the corner of a redwood fence, short knobby stems crowded around its base and longer arms leaning out above them, standing in freshly turned dark soil with a cut length of stem laid flat on the ground in front. — July 2026

• Enlarge A long cutting laid in an S-curve on a whitewashed board, the tape measure running up the right edge and along the bottom, artificial sunflowers and red-spotted toadstools fixed around the frame.
• Enlarge Rooted cuttings laid in a row on the whitewashed measuring board propped against a tan block wall, root balls hanging past the bottom edge, one long smooth column standing at the right, and a soda can and a wooden yardstick against the wall on either side.
• Enlarge Two TBMA pieces held up in a gloved hand on the lawn in hard midday sun, the fence and an orange-leaved tree behind them; the larger one still carries soil and roots on its hard yellowed base. — The old base has gone hard and yellow beside the short green shoot.
