GH5 is reportedly a wild-collected rather than a garden selection: the letters are the initials of the collector Gains Harrison and the number marks one selection out of that field work. It is grown for color — a heavy blue-gray bloom over pronounced ribs and well-developed spines — and how deep the blue runs is reported to shift with how much light the plant gets.
